چکیده
When vehicles interact with a bridge, vehicle–bridge interaction (VBI) system is created. The frequency and modal shape of VBI systems have been widely studied, but the damping has not adequately investigated. In recent years, several incidents abnormal bridge vibration due to changes in occurred aroused widespread concern society. Damping an important evaluation index structural dynamic performance. Knowing ratio useful for analyzing while service. This paper presents method extract values from system, which can serve as guide evaluation. First, double-beam theoretical model was used simplify cases involving uniform traffic flow. equation simplified obtained using extended stiffness (EDSM). A finite element were established. ratios two models separately calculated then compared results. results verified accuracy method. explains that be extracted by estimating equivalent flow parameters formula system. this engineering case ranged 0.75% 0.78%, smaller than range directly identified monitoring data (0.83–1.19%). show effectively improve identification.

Effect of thermoelastic damping in nonlinear beam model of MEMS resonators by differential quadrature method
This paper presents a nonlinear model of a clamped-clamped microbeam actuated by an electrostatic load with stretching and thermoelastic effects. The frequency of free vibration is calculated by discretization based on the Differential Quadrature (DQ) Method. The frequency is a complex value due to the thermoelastic effect that dissipates energy. By separating the real and imaginary parts of fr...
متن کاملDamping Ring to Interaction Point Beam Transport Issues
One of the major challenges facing the proposed highenergy linear ee colliders is the preservation of the extremely small vertical emittance from the damping rings to the interaction point (IP). This emittance must be transported through bunch compression sections, the main linac and finally through the beam delivery system to the IP. Historically, the beam dynamics issues of each subsystem hav...

متن کاملVibration of Timoshenko Beam-Soil Foundation Interaction by Using the Spectral Element Method
This article presents an analysis of free vibration of elastically supported Timoshenko beams by using the spectral element method. The governing partial differential equation is elaborated to formulate the spectral stiffness matrix. Effectively, the non classical end boundary conditions of the beam are the primordial task to calibrate the phenomenon of the Timoshenko beam-soil foundation inter...
متن کاملCollimation method using a double grating system.
We present a collimation technique based on a double grating system to locate with high accuracy an emitter in the focal plane of a lens. Talbot self-images are projected onto the second grating producing moiré interferences. By means of two photodetectors positioned just behind the second grating, it is possible to determine the optimal position of the light source for collimation by measuring...
